We’ll be answering questions about the Atlas tonight at 7pm. Join us on Zoom.

Among other features, we’ll show you how to use the Calendar section — where troops can now book monthly Office Hours with coaches.

Let your troop leader know which slots work with your schedule. Troop leader will book a one hour Zoom session with Chris and Mariko. (Once a slot is booked, it disappears from the calendar.)

What do we talk about?

Anything and everything your troop wants to explore.

Troops can submit up to 5 minutes of video ahead of time. Drills. Games. Patterns you’re noticing. Match footage. Communication. Decision-making. Chaos. Success. Confusion. Five minutes per troop.

If you send clips ahead of time, we’ll review them before the call and come prepared with thoughts, observations, and questions.

You can also use the session to discuss strategy, practice design, mindset, team construction, communication, preparation for Jamboree, or how to actually build better practices during the week instead of just playing games and hoping improvement magically appears.

Treat this like an AMA with context. Ask some selfish questions. Ask the questions your group actually argues about after games.

For longer than you know, the coaches have been building files on each player and the dynamics of each troop. We’re happy to reveal what is in these files. But we want to begin with your questions and ideas.

One of the central ideas behind troop and practice culture is that every player has multiple possible breakthroughs sitting in front of them at all times. Technical breakthroughs. Tactical breakthroughs. Emotional breakthroughs. Communication breakthroughs. Identity breakthroughs. Most players don’t miss breakthroughs because they lack effort.

Office Hours are designed to help troops identify those next opportunities together.

These conversatoins can be recorded. If schedules and geography align, we may occasionally do some of these in person.

Is there a topic or question you want the coaches to think about before your troop Zoom call? Is there an item you want us to add to your permanent record? Reply to the email and share what’s on your mind.
