Jamboree is honoured to open Zero Zero's new flagship next Saturday night.
This is the pickleball facility Richmond has been waiting for.
After years of requests, this will also be the first Pickleball Jamboree contested in Richmond.
To mark these two firsts, we’re introducing something else for the first time: The Jamboree Combine.
Richmond No. 2 Road Court
Troop Leaders will be courtside with clipboards writing scouting reports. Come with a partner or a partial team, try out new combinations together. Or come on your own, the coaches and scouts will find you a team.
First, you’ll rotate through games, auditioning different partners and opponents. Then we’ll begin assembling combinations that could become fall teams. In between, you’ll have a chance to chat with coaches and veteran players and compete in the handspeed challenge.
None of it goes on your permanent record. But it might change where you go next.
Jamboree has traditionally been by invitation. You needed to know someone with a team, and invitations were hard to come by. On the 12th, for the first time, you don't need one.
If you know someone who's been circling the edges of Jamboree — someone with a generous spirit and an appetite to improve on a team — the 12th is the night to bring them.
